About "Requiem for the White Rhino"

Requiem for the White Rhino is just that. There are two northern white rhino left in the world today, both females.

The last male passed away in 2018. The species is now functionally extinct.

This painting shows the grave marker with the genus and species of the Northern white rhino on it.

This is the first of a series, and in which I show the animal in its natural and ever-shrinking environment beside the ominous symbol of human encroachment without showing the human.

The grave marker is the only indication of impending doom, but it is a death knell nonetheless.
