Oil Painter AJ AlperA.J.Alper's journey to find passion and growth as an artist was a bumpy one, filled with frustration and disappointment. In his late 40’s, he was sure that he had reached his full potential as an artist and gave up painting altogether, which he did for 7 years. It was the mental work that he did during that time which allowed him to quiet the negative voices in his head and forge a new path. In the past few years, he has become known for his portraiture work, while gaining a growing following on social media. Now, in his late 50’s, he balances a full-time job as a web developer with his burgeoning portraiture career, while also producing educational content for his social media audiences. He’s now learned that it is never too late to find your passion.
AJ’s story and selfless encouragement of other artists continue to inspire and motivate me. It was truly a privilege to speak with him.

Hi, You mention in the conversation about a temp agency, I’m not sure the spelling. It is the one you mentioned sent you to Boston for training. I enjoyed the interview you had with AJ Alper, thank you.

Thanks, JR! The agency I trained with for web design and development was Aquent. They specialize in independent professional artists, usually on Mac platform. They are national if not international. Website is https://aquent.com/

Thanks for listening, I hope you continue to join in. Please let me know if you’d like to hear about a particular topic or from a particular artist. The show is all about getting my listeners what they need and want!
      Best,
